Dr. Gregory Laakmann, D.P.M.
As part of the integrated practitioner team at Fortius Sport & Health, Dr. Gregory Laakmann, Podiatrist, brings almost two decades of experience in orthotics, medicine and surgery of the foot to Fortius. He received his Doctor of Podiatric Medicine from the California College of Podiatric Medicine and proceeded to earn his Podiatric Surgical Residency from Mercy Hospital and Medical Center in San Diego. He has been the President of the British Columbia Podiatric Medical Association and a Director of the Canadian Podiatric Medical Association. In addition to his work at Fortius Sport & Health, Dr. Laakmann also maintains his own private practice in downtown Vancouver.

Growing up in Burnaby, soccer has been a passion of Dr. Laakmann's since the age of 5, initially as a youth with the local Edmonds Soccer Club and then as an adult with the Burnaby Men's Soccer Association. Alongside soccer, skiing has been a close second passion, beginning up on the local mountains and then extending up to Whistler from the early years on. Dr. Laakmann was also fortunate to have been part of the formative years of Track and Field under coach Ken Taylor at Burnaby Central High School where he excelled in discus at the provincial level. Additional interests include snowboarding, golf, hockey, hiking, jogging, tennis, swimming, diving, and windsurfing.
